The Village Museum

shopping!!!!!

Sarah and Hannah get stuck in the school.
This museum in Sibiu was opened in 1969 and contains structures from all over Romania representing a variety of time periods. The day we went there was a crafs fair going on and we were able to see people dressed in the traditional costumes.

Shopping at the Market

The best place to go for fresh produce.

Sibiu Zoo

Apparantly, we didn't take any pictures of any of the animals.

The reinforcements arrive!

Grandma, Grandpa, Jacob and Snitzel arrived at the end of June to help us prepare for VBS and do all the cooking for the groups comming in. There was a lot of work to be done. All the rain of the previous few weeks left the garden in great need of pruning. Lots of tree and bush trimming and weed pulling, plus cleaning the building.

Arrival

We arrived in Romania in early June, with all our possesions in 10 suitcases. We will be living in the church building until we are able to find other accomodations. After all the work of getting everything ready for the move, we were absolutely exhausted. Not much time for rest though. We had to get started on all the paperwork for our Visas, and start getting ready for all the campaigns that would soon starting.

Skelton Family Adventures

This blog is being created in an attempt to help us keep in touch with our family and friends while working as missionaries in Romania. We will try to keep it updated with our families commings and goings, so that you will be able to log on and see what we have been up to as a family. This site is directed towards our family and not the work we are doing. If you would like to know what is going on in our work, check out our Romania missions website at www.romaniamissions.info .
